20.1 Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
The Material Safety Data Sheet gives the user information for the safe use of a chemical
substance. This information can be used to educate workers in safe working procedures
with hazardous chemical substances and to select appropriate personal protective
equipment. It can also be referenced in case of chemical accidents and fires, and handling
of chemical waste.
20.2 Chemical hazard symbols
Chemical hazard symbols provide information about the hazards that the chemical
presents to the user and / or to the environment. Instructions on personal protection,
handling and safe use of chemicals are given on MSDS.
