Lifting and fastening of load
Before each lift:
Find out the weight of the load and its centre of gravity.
Choose a lifting method that is appropriate for the load.
Check the condition of the lifting equipment.
Plan the lifting operation and lift route.
If necessary, isolate the danger area.
How to fasten the hook to the wire rope slings:
Wrong:
The wire rope sling moves and the load
tips. A safety latch (pin) is missing.
Correct:
Place the link at the bottom of the hook
and check that it stays in place as the
wire rope sling tightens.
