Hand signals
There should be a designated banksman who functions as the crane operator’s senses.
Therefore it is important to follow the instructions below in order to avoid any confusion:
Make sure that you know crane hand signals that are used at your work site.
Show the signals clearly.
Maintain constant eye contact with the crane operator.
Have only one person giving the signals.
Avoid lifting operations when the weather is very windy.
Make sure the frost and wind loads are within the limits before you start any
lifting operations.
