9. PHYSICAL LOAD
9.4. Straight back
Structural posture can be affected. If the pelvis, viewed from the back, is tilted, it may
expose the body to various pain conditions. Tilted pelvis may be caused by ankle positions
inequality, uneven tensions on hips and pelvic muscles and / or leg-length inequality.
Tilted shoulder line leads to neck deformity. This is most commonly associated with
the upper body muscle tightness or pelvic tilt. Usually tilt is affected by several factors.
If, when standing, the pelvic line or shoulders are tilted, the back spine and cervical
spine, viewed from the back, appears to have lateral curvatures (scoliosis). It is highly
recommended to gradually straighten curved spine caused by poor posture.
Also note that tilted pelvis may cause body balance control problems, because one
side of the body is stressed differently than the other. For example, a possible accident
can cause ankle sprain.
Instruction:
Try to distribute loads as equally as possible between each
side of the body when possible. Do restorative exercises, if
you notice that only one side of your body is stressed. If necessary,
ask for better evaluation and guidance your health care
professionals. Even a small correction can have significant
impact on discomfort and accidents prevention. Also possible
pre-existing symptoms often facilitate.
