13. MANAGING FALL RISK
Report any defects or damage to the scaffolding to your supervisor or scaffolder. Never
work on uninspected scaffolding. Scaffolding must be inspected by a qualified scaffolding
inspector just prior to initial use and periodically thereafter as well as after
modifications.
Never drop any material (e.g. waste) from the scaffold or any other elevated workplace,
unless there is a watch person standing on the ground.
Scaffolding must have an inspection tag with the following markings:
Maximum allowable load
Name of the person who has
inspected and approved
the scaffolding
Dates when the scaffolding
was inspected and when
taken down
